Drama Refugees je dvojezična, bosansko-engleski jezik. Galerijom likova dominira Almasa, čudna žena puna neslućenih vibracija i akcenata, čas diskretno nježna sa primjesama tople ljudske iskrenosti, čas duboko potištena gotovo ukočena pred zlom koje je prati. The most important characteristics of the play Refugees by Zlatko Topčić are its freshness and originality. Though it is put into the reality of Bosnian tragedy, being its consequence, it does not speak the well known language of an engaged theatre; instead of that, it draws from the complex ideas and emotional dilemmas of its characters the line which means reality as the only possible choice for the man whose life with memories becomes even more tragic than the death itself.
